Roblox has since experienced another period of rapid growth, where the games generated on Roblox have doubled in number every six months since 2015. Roblox grew dramatically in 2010, when an estimated five million daily users were playing Roblox games and creating new ones. Roblox is free to use and includes more than 2,000 games created by programmers from around the world. Launched in 2004, the platform grew to 16 million registered players in 2007, before becoming free in 2008. Players are able to use their customized controller to experience the games in the console of their choice, using a system known as cross-platform support. Games made on Roblox can be created in only seven programming languages and are available for the PC, iOS, Android, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch platforms.
